Parable of the Lost Sheep
In the parable of the lost sheep, Jesus tells of a shepherd who has 100 sheep but leaves the 99 to search for the one that is lost. When he finds it, he joyfully carries it home and celebrates. Jesus explains that just as the shepherd rejoices over one lost sheep found, there is great joy in heaven over one sinner who repents. This parable shows God’s deep love and care for each person and His desire to bring everyone back to Him.

The shepherd leaves the 99
